Biography Ruediger Dahlke

For over 30 years, Dr. med. Ruediger Dahlke has worked as a doctor, seminar leader, author and trainer. In books such as Krankheit als Weg (The Healing Power of Illness), Krankheit als Sprache der Seele (Illness As a Language of the Soul), Krankheit als Symbol (Disease as a Symbol), Frauen-Heil-Kunde (The Female Healing Arts), Aggression als Chance (Aggression As an Opportunity), and Depression – Wege aus der dunklen Nacht der Seele (Depression – Ways out of the Dark Night of the Soul), he has established a holistic approach to psychosomatic medicine which extends into the domains of the mythical and the spiritual. His books Die Schicksalsgesetze – Spielregeln fürs Leben (The Laws of Fate – Rules For the Game of Life) and Das Schattenprinzip (The Shadow Principle), along with the accompanying CDs, provide the philosophical and practical basis for this approach. In seminars and on tours, he leads participants into the world of spiritual imagery and motivates people to take responsibility for developing well-targeted life strategies.
His goal to build up a field of “contagious good health” is not only reflected in books which form the Säulen der Gesundheit (Pillars of Good Health) such as Schlaf – die bessere Hälfte des Lebens (Sleep – the Better Half of Life ), Essens-Glück (Blissful Eating) and Aller guten Dinge sind drei – Bewegung, Ernährung, Entspannung (Good Things Come in Threes -  Movement, Nutrition, Relaxation), but also in his goal to realise the TamanGa centre in the Sudsteiermark region in Austria by the end of 2011.
Books such as Körper als Spiegel der Seele (The Body As a Mirror for the Soul)and Die Spuren der Seele – was Hand und Fuß über uns verraten (Traces of the Soul – What Our Hands and Feet Reveal About Us) also extend our possibilities for taking control in finding our own life mission and corresponding path of development.
In more recent years, publications such as Worte der Heilung(Healing Words) und Worte der Dankbarkeit und des Vertrauens (Words of Gratefulness and Trust)  have extended his work beyond the non-fiction domain.
Detailed Biography Dr. Med. Ruediger Dahlke
A doctor and psychotherapist since 1979, he completed additional qualifications in naturopathic medicine, as well as furthering his training in homeopathy during the course of his medical studies.
In the meantime, he has become well-known to a broader public above all as the author of books such as Krankheit als Symbol (Disease as a Symbol), Krankheit als Sprache der Seele (Illness As a Language of the Soul), Krankheit als Weg (The Healing Power of Illness), Lebenskrisen als Entwicklungschancen (Life Crises as an Opportunity for Development), Frauen-Heil-Kunde (The Female Healing Arts), Aggression als Chance (Aggression as an Opportunity) and Die Schicksalsgesetze – Spielregeln fürs Leben (The Laws of Fate – Rules For the Game of Life) as well as through numerous TV and radio appearances.
As a complement to the interpretation of disease patterns, he has also developed the use of guided meditations into an effective method of self-help. In keeping with this, audio programs (on CD) have been created to accompany many of the disease patterns as well as various health topics in general, which, together with the interpretations themselves, allow people more “response-ability” in dealing with health-related challenges.
In 1989, after a 12 year period spent working in Munich, during which time he laid the foundations for his holistic approach to psychosomatic medicine and (together with Thorwald Dethlefsen) produced the book Krankheit als Weg (The Healing Power of Illness), he established, along with Margit Dahlke – his wife in the first half of his life - the Heil-Kunde-Zentrum Johanniskirchen in Niederbayern, which has since developed into a key location for treatment in line with his spiritual psychotherapy approach. Since 2010, he and Rita Fasel - his partner and co-author of Die Spuren der Seele – was Hand und Fuß über uns verraten (Traces of the Soul – What Our Hands and Feet Reveal About Us) have been involved in the planning and construction of the TamanGa centre, which is scheduled to begin its operations as a seminar venue by the end of 2011.
In Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, Ruediger Dahlke regularly gives presentations and (training) seminars to the general public on topics such as the spiritual sign-ificance of different disease patterns, conscious fasting, connected breathing, meditation, and the further development of spiritual awareness, as well as providing corporate training seminars in companies. In addition, he has presented his ideas on holistic medicine and spiritual philosophy, not only in the many books mentioned above, but also in numerous newspaper and journal articles, and in TV and radio appearances. The ultimate aim of all of these activities is to support patients along their path towards greater self-responsibility, self-determination and optimal health.
In the German-speaking world, Ruediger Dahlke’s books have already attracted a following of millions and have thus contributed to creating an ever-expanding consciousness for psychosomatic correlations and a holistic approach to medicine. In addition, there are currently over 200 translations available in 24 different languages – a number that is expected to steadily increase as interest in these topics continues to grow.
